Engine Diagnostics & Repair In Denver
A trouble code tells you which circuit reported a problem — not which part failed. We diagnose properly so you pay to fix the cause, not to replace parts one at a time.
Find The Cause, Not Just The Code
Plenty of shops read a code, look up the part it mentions and fit it. Sometimes that works. Often it means a customer pays for a sensor when the real fault was a vacuum leak, a wiring chafe or a failing pump upstream of it.
We scan, then we test — live data, fuel trims, pressure and electrical checks — until the actual cause is confirmed. Then we quote the repair.
- Check-engine light scanning and code analysis
- Live data and fuel-trim diagnosis
- Misfire, rough idle and stalling faults
- Loss of power and poor fuel economy
- Sensor, ignition and fuel system testing
- Cooling system and overheating diagnosis
- Engine repair and component replacement
When To Book A Diagnostic
Check-Engine Light
Steady means get it looked at soon. Flashing means an active misfire that can damage the catalytic converter — book straight away.
Rough Idle Or Misfire
Shaking at a stop, stumbling under load, or a noticeable stutter when pulling away.
Loss Of Power
The engine feels flat, slow to respond, or struggles on hills that never used to bother it.
Worse Fuel Economy
A sudden drop in miles per gallon usually means the engine is running richer than it should be.
Unusual Noises
Knocking, ticking or rattling that changes with engine speed needs investigating early.
Overheating
Temperature climbing above normal is urgent — continuing to drive risks serious engine damage.

Frequently Asked
Still not sure? Call and describe what the vehicle is doing — we will tell you what it is likely to be.
Is the free code read at a parts store enough?
It is a starting point, not a diagnosis. The code identifies a circuit or a symptom the computer noticed; confirming which component actually failed takes testing. Fitting the part the code names is how people end up paying twice.
Can I keep driving with the light on?
If the light is steady and the vehicle drives normally, book it in soon. If it is flashing, or the engine is misfiring, overheating or losing power, stop driving and call us.
How long does a diagnostic take?
Straightforward faults are often confirmed within an hour or two. Intermittent and electrical faults can take longer because they have to be caught in the act. We will tell you what we have found before going further.
Do you repair what you diagnose?
Yes. We carry out the repair in the same shop, so nothing gets lost between diagnosis and fix.
